The Dea

Along the balmy Changi Coast Walk, hydro-curious adults can get a taste of the open seas aboard with a 4 hour Laser Bahia basic sailing lesson. The sail gives dry-behind-the-ears novices a chance to experience the feel of the waves and the worthiness of their sea legs before making a commitment to more classes. Students will learn the theory of how a sailboat works and the functions of the Laser Bahia. Following which, there is a stimulation exercise where students learn how to steer and turn the bahia before they are off to get some on-the-water experience. 

With a minimum of 5 people per class, each sail student can learn a new skill with a low teacher-to-student ratio to ensure plenty of attention and instruction for all involved. The recommended age for participants is 12 years and above. Skilled and certified instructors teach each lesson. Although you may not by a certified skipper by the end of the salt-sprayed session, at least you will have had a sublime time and tasted the sailing experience.

Constant Wind also operates an on-site pro shop that caters to every sea-lover’s needs. Finally, after a long session in the sun, relax and unwind at the Centre’s bar and restaurant, in air-conditioned, tan-reducing bliss or under the velvety night sky.
