 I have visited Thailand for over 10 years and this was my first experience of rural Thailand as it is, unadultered, beautiful and peaceful. Had Yao is where you go if you want to escape from the tourist traps that sadly engulf a lot of Thailand. The hotel was set in a mangrove forest with only the sea and trees for company. There is nothing to do here other than relax, swim, read and enjoy the tranquility. Local fishing villages were a bike ride away and delicious local food at local prices were on offer."

The villas are spacious and spotless with toilet and hand basin inside the villa and the bath & shower outside, sounds strange but its great. (You have a perimeter wall for total privacy.) The food is exceptional and the staff are more then helpful yet not in your face."
