A bar, like the beach, is a peaceful sanctuary that allows tired travelers to bask in shades of gold, frolic in frothy suds, and get into splash fights with anyone who looks remotely like Daryl Hannah. Lather up with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of Thai and Western cuisine at Bar Bar Black Sheep.
Located by the waters at vibrant Boat Quay, Bar Bar Black Sheep is a modern spin on popular varieties of Thai and Western cuisine, helmed by independent chefs who are masters at their respective genres. Reviews:
“Bar Bar’s has carved a niche as a reliably affordable drinks-and-dinner brand whose heavy-drinking patrons and easygoing service make for an infectiously vibrant ambience. It’s a winning formula that ensures both the chain’s hotspots are permanently packed.” – Time Out Singapore Review
“The burger is pretty damn good. Best in Singapore? Well I’m still researching that . There are some nice touches though – Napa cabbage instead of lettuce gives the burger a nice crunch, the bun is covered in sesame which gives a nice nutty roundness to the flavor, and best of all, the meat itself has plenty of seasoning and interest so it doesn’t need to be drowned in fancy sauces to make an interesting bite. It’s just good on it’s own as meat and even better in the middle of two slices of bread with some cheese.” – Paul, Accidental Epicurean Review
“Bar Bar Black Sheep is one of my favorite restaurant/bar choices in the city to "get my drink on" with friends while still being able to enjoy some delicious, diverse (Indian, Western-style) dishes. Located next to the river, Bar Bar Black Sheep is really a fine place to chill out and be comfortable as the menu is affordable, the atmosphere relaxing and the drinks just right. I also enjoy the restaurant's breakfast on the weekends as it's hearty, healthy and the coffee is great.” – Savvytraveler, Singapore-Dine Review
