The fish served at Japanese Dining SUN at CHIJMES is flown in from Japan a few times a week so quality is maintained.   Taste the best with the Chef's Special Sashimi, which consists of premium fatty bluefin tuna belly, yellowtail, salmon, sweet shrimp, sea urchin and fish of the day, and serves either two ($98) or three ($147).

 

Try the Assorted Platter of 7 Kinds of Sashimi ($68 for two and $102 for three), which includes a tasty selection of raw fish - sea bream, tuna belly, salmon, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, scallop and Japanese horse mackerel.
  

Go ala carte with the Salmon Moriwase ($18), perfect for salmon lovers with slices of salmon, toro salmon and aburi tomo salmon. Very exquisite and well executed (Salmon Pink Dragon) sushi roll. The creamy and sweet crab avocado is well balanced with fresh thinly sliced salmon. Perfected with a hint of lemon slice and salty fish roe. Yumz!"

Having a soft spot for sushi rolls, next up was Salmon Pink Dragon Roll ($13.80) - crabmeat and cucumber roll wrapped with salmon. Fulfilling to the sight, smell and taste. It was nicely presented with a fusion air, one could smell the seaweed and lemon slice, and the whole works is just a burst of pleasure in the mouth. Everything about this roll was great. Special mentions go to the crisp fresh seaweed and the unusual touch of lemon slice between the roe and the salmon. I love it when restaurants pay attention to tiny details, elevates the entire dining experience."
