Kampong Chai Chee Restaurant stays true to its 1988 roots, with their signature ‘zhi char’ way of cooking seafood. Though they sculpt a unique identity by offering quality Halal seafood and steamboat, they are in no way partisan. Formerly at Tampines Telepark, they relocated to 303 Changi Road for their business to reach both Muslim and non-Muslim individuals and families. Nondescript round tables and chairs match unadorned walls, making room for the visiting crowds to add all the flavour and colour. Steam rises from chatty tables and piping hot plates of assorted springy seafood meats emerge from the kitchen - just like any relative’s home.
